Craig Fisk – based in Portland in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. I’ve  lived and worked in Asia and Europe in the past. I am developing a web application startup around a new approach to a mainly mobile information marketplace. I’m working in Python, Django, and messaging environments on Ubuntu, nginx, and PostgreSQL.

Previously, I was a co-founder of Gaia Software, a mobile applications company for which I raised VC investment three times, built to 15-25 people three times, and got blown out of the water instantaneously three times, each time just as it was significantly connecting. Prior to that, I was SBS chair and a marketing manager in software platforms at Intel Corporation. Before that I was department chair in Western languages and literatures at a Chinese university.

University of Chicago MBA in marketing and finance, University of Wisconsin PhD comparative literature, Fulbright Fellow, several years of working experience in Chinese (Mandarin) and German-language environments, also reasonably functional in French and Japanese, and finally starting to work on Spanish.
